I have been a member of Paypal since 1999 and I have been SATISFIED with their business. I buy and sell things mostly on Ebay and it even involved a multiple disputes between buyers and sellers where I have been pleased with the outcome which I believe is FAIR. Customer service rep. That I've dealt with were mostly professional and know what they are doing, and most of all speaks clear English, though it's been a while since I spoken with them and I do not know if thats the same case today.
I'm using Paypal mostly for sending money to my family members in Canada and also for money transfers between different banks here in the US which I find very useful. The app seems to have performed to my EXPECTATIONS with zero lags or crashes. The finger print log in and pin log ins makes logging in a breeze.
For 17 years that I'm with paypal I would say 5/5* since they continue to provide me with great service which is mostly ZERO FEES. If the customer service and app changes in the future, I would update this review ASAP.
This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. They put holds on your money constantly. The customer service is the exact opposite of what the name implies. If you want to use eBay you have to use PayPal, they know it, and therefore they will do whatever they want because they know you have no recourse. They practice, somehow, legal thievery and someone needs to do something about this. Their business model is this, even if it's our mistake that causes us to hold or take your money, you have to deal with the consequences. I have removed my entire store from eBay and will NEVER sell for them again until this monopoly that PayPal has with them isn't the case anymore. It's a real shame that eBay allows this terrible company to ruin what would otherwise be a good thing. Take my advice, use another auction shop and don't even allow PayPal to have access to even a penny of yours, because they will take it. They will use it to make themselves interest while you have no money. Please join me anyone else that's had issue with them and let's do something about this. The only way things will change if there is enough of us together to do something!
Only rating 1 star because zero is not an option. For such a well known company, PayPal sure does know how to offer mediocre customer service, at best. I'm being gracious in saying that the desire to resolve customer service issues by having a completely separate department of their customer service representatives reply with "I honestly couldn't tell you" or "there's no reason why" is a pathetic way to run a company. I am thoroughly disappointed in the way they handle customer service and find it shocking that when activating a new PayPal Here account there isn't a customer service number to contact and there are no live people to speak with. Only email correspondence. I will be pursuing a full refund for the equipment I was permitted to purchase but not permitted to utilize. As a result, I've activated a "Square" account and am exponentially pleased with the services being provided by them. Will NEVER do business with PayPal again and will make sure that everyone I know, both on and off numerous social media platforms, never do business with them either.
