Spinning wheel overlapping all streamed videos
Love the app and the content, even subscribed, but there is a constant spinning wheel right in the center of the screen overlapping any and all videos that I stream. It is quite distracting. My network connection is fine, this is not related to buffering. Must be a bug. Please fix or remove. Thank you.
Seems like this issue occurs after a pause or a (10 sec) rewind. A fix is to always jump back to the main menu and restart the same video episode.
App works fine on my new iPad 2017 and the latest iOS, but videos do not play at all on my 4 year old iPad 4. Perhaps that's why some reviewers say the app is crap and does not work..?
Years have gone by, and this app is still no better than the first piece of crap they created. I have no idea why streaming video is so hard for PBS. You can't even get the ads to play let alone the videos. I only use this when absolutely necessary. It's also why I refuse to spend any money to watch this. Never mind the insult of having to Pay to watch episodes on top of any donations you've already make. Clearly greed has now taken over public broadcast. What a shame.
Update: one year later and this is still a useless app. Nothing ever changes over at PBS, and the user experience is clearly not a priority.
Update: two years later. Programs are still impossible to watch, but I stopped wasting money on PBS years ago so who cares.
Play/Pause button TOO SMALL
I love pbs, and this app has generally been ok, but that itty bitty play/pause button in the very bottom corner just isn't going to fly. I have to tap ~10 time before I get it, and often hit the rewind button instead. This is especially hard when I have messy hands, like when washing dishes, and am trying to use a knuckle. Please follow the example of other video apps and and have the play/pause be a big button in the middle of the screen. I'll probably have to avoid this app until an update comes out with a fix.
