Ratings and Reviews
Great for converting paper bank statements into spreadsheet xlsx format
I wanted to search some bank transactions from over a year ago but our bank’s online system only goes back a year. It was taking me an hour per statement to manually transcribe paper & PDF data into a spreadsheet until I found the Enolsoft PDF Converter in the Apple App Store. Now it takes just a few minutes to read a paper statement into a scanner to get a PDF that is converted by the Enlosoft App into a useful spreadsheet that can be used to find transactions and to organize how the money comes and goes. It is well worth the price for me. My thanks to the developers.
I can adjust the output more easily in a spreadsheet or word app than learn yet another editor so I haven’t tried editing within the converter.
p.s. at first it seemed unusual to have to drag a file from Finder into the Enlosoft Converter window instead of being able to click on the Converter File tab to drill down to the folder and select the file to be converted but now I wish some other apps allowed drag and drop.
Performs Its Function Stupendously
I had been given a PDF that had been scanned and emailed from a copier, so the entire text was an image PDF only. It was my task to take it to an editable Microsoft Word format for further editing by other personnel. After a bit of research, it seemed like this program was exactly what I was looking for. After purchase [at a generous discount price] I had my document converted after about 90 seconds of processing. The interface could not be easier to use, and the results were almost perfect. There might have been a scant few points in the text that would require touch up in Word, but 99.8% perfect is wonderful in my book. After 28 years of intermittent OCR experience, this is the first time that I can declare that the technology has delivered for me. My company’s money was well spent on this product!
App is inconsistent and support is poor
I manage a lot of data and often need to convert PDFs to Excel. This app sometimes works very well and other times will convert a document poorly. I had one document that had five pages set up identically and the converter converted different pages three different ways. Not sure how that happens. There is a way in the app that you can add or delete lines in a table by right-clicking, but that feature is not working on my computer nor my co-worker’s. I emailed support and it has been slow and unhelpful. I received my first response at 2 am telling me to right-click my mouse despite already stating in my intial inquiry that that was what I was doing and that the function wasn’t working. Got another response, at night again, asking me to record a video of what I am doing. This is unnecessary. There is obviously a glitch somewhere where right-clicking, perhaps with Macs, isn’t working. I’m very happy when this app works, but mostly I’ve been frustrated.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
