PDFDek is an application utility for extracting all pages, in a specified range, from a PDF file and saving them as images or PDF files in a folder on your Mac.
Visit the website for more information and a demo.
The names of the files generated are derived from the name of the PDF file appended by "page_x_of_y" where x is the index of the page and y is the total number of pages.
Use the Preferences window to specify the image format, scaling, selection range and destination location.

Perfect for extraction
I was looking for a simple PDF app to extract selected pages from a large file and save as small documents. (In my case this is a hymnal.) I couldn't believe my good fortune when I stumbled onto this app. I extract the pages now and simply save as PDF or other digital preference and job done in less than 5 minutes.
If you need to convert a pdf to an image this is a quick and free way to do it. I didnt have Adobe installed on this computer so i downloaded this program and did what i needed it to do within seconds of running application. No hassle of figuring out the program.
I extracted 17 images from a PDF in less than 5 seconds, and free :-)
Would like to see an option to eliminate the pdf white page/background that surrounds the image, then the app would be perfect.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
