Pen annotation of PDFs doesn't work

I'm a college Professor and use the iPad for reading and taking notes on PDFs. PDFpen does NOT work for this purpose.

The software does not always sense the stylus (any Stylus) causing you to have to rewrite over and over. Also once you are done writing there's about a 50% chance that your annotation will disappear when you hit "Done". In short, pen annotation is so buggy that it is unusable.

I've now tried several programs (iAnnotate, PDF expert, Zoomnotes, Goodnotes 4) and in my experience Goodnotes 4 is the best for reading and annotating PDFs. Writing with a stylus in Goodnotes 4 is really very natural and it is generally easy to use and works with Dropbox etc.

I also like PDF expert but it does not yet support pressure sensitive Bluetooth styluses like the jot touch 4 so it's no longer my go to annotation app.

Absolutely great.

This works amazingly well with PDFPen Pro. Highly recommend this with pro.

Great PDF App

This app is very user friendly and is great for filling out PDF forms.
