New PeakVisor compass in this version brings totally new perspective into the app. Now you can see the high definition landscape from a bird's eye view. That's especially important when you are just approaching a summit and most of the surrounding features are occluded. Worry no more! Check the bird's eye view and see you in 3D landscape model. Just double tap on the compass or touch the (VR) button in the top right corner when your phone points on a floor.

This is only the beginning, many other unbelievable improvements are coming soon. Please let us know what you think! But now this is the time to get out and have some fun!

Editors’ Notes

Now off to the mountains!

Useless app - no match of app to real mountains

I’m in Les Masses in the Alps and even after downloading over a thousand blocks of data, there is no range I can point at where the labels match the mountains. The artificial horizon is also in the wrong place.

Bonnie in TX

I downloaded this to use in the Appalachians. When I opened it to use, it kept saying “composing panoramas”...”6/8...5/8...then 13/8, 12/8...”

It just keeps counting and does nothing.
