Use Literally Any Other Service
This has been a truly terrible experience. Placed my order Saturday morning, and the only time available was Sunday evening between 4:30 and 10:00PM. Not great, but understandable given demand. Sunday evening at 7:30 I get a robo call saying they're delayed three hours. An hour later I get a call from a live person saying that since my order is delayed until after midnight, and it is not their policy to deliver after midnight, my order has been canceled, and would I like to be transferred to someone to reschedule delivery. Sure. I kind of need some groceries, and I've spent a weekend waiting for them. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes, a sales rep tells me that they can deliver at the earliest, 4PM on Monday. And, for my troubles, they'll put $10 on my account for next time!!
TL;DR: Save yourself the trouble, use Instacart (or any service other than Peapod).
My Peapod Experience
I used to love Peapod, but I stopped using the service because of the issues I've had. The first issue is a majority of the groceries I needed were always out of stock. Another issue was the fruit. They sent me oranges with holes in them one time, and Peapod delivered molded strawberries my last order. I had to get a refund. I was done after that, and they also sent me one small sweet potato. I actually ordered a 3 pound bag of organic sweet potatoes. And don't get me started on the customer service. The receptionists were friendly, but I had to wait a long time. I'm a patient person, but it was annoying to be waiting on the phone like I did. Everything else was fine, but do not order produce from them, especially fruits.
Add Tote Pickup to the app ASAP!
It's one thing to change the rules and the drivers no longer pick up the totes when they drop off. Maybe that was a logistics issue you guys couldn't solve but make it easy before you passively announce in email you're charging fees! Give us the ability to schedule a tote pickup in the app. The link to your website in the email requires another login and directs you back to the app where guess what, you cannot schedule a tote pickup. If you agree when you set this up in the app, please pre populate the number of totes; after all you know how many I have. Thanks!
