Crashes. A lot.

This app worked fine for my statistics class up until I got to chapter nine. Now I can't even get it to launch. I have deleted and re-downloaded twice. No dice. With all the money Pearson is making from the high-stakes testing market, you would think they could afford a better app. Super disappointed. And a little miffed.

I called support, and they told me I just have to wait for the update because my device is not compatible, which is not true. It is actually their app that is not yet fully compatible with the new OS. They could not give me a timeline for the new update. They seem to care very little.

Some math lab courses offer an HTML version of the text, so if you get totally stuck, maybe that will help. Pearson sure didn't tell me anything about that version.

Broken app from a broken company

If you can find a way to avoid pearson etext- do it. The corporation is intentionally making it as difficult as possible for students to be able to learn. This app doesn't have many basic features and treats people who paid hundreds of dollars for their textbooks like criminals with overly invasive DRM. If there was ever a reason to pirate books, then pearson is solidifying that argument. Avoid this app like the plague if possible. iBooks and Kindle are far better options. If you have a teacher who wants you to purchase etext through pearson, then make it clear to them just how much it hurts students eager to learn. Pearson needs to go the way of the dinosaur and just die already… no one will miss them.

HELLO! Apple Apps shouldn't require flash to view content!

This app use to work on my IPad and suddenly it decides to tell me that I need flash player to view my video tutorials. Tutorials that I have been playing through the App all along! This is a Apple App so why would the developer suddenly impede it's functionality by requiring Flash? I mean that is just some Mad Hatter stuff there! Then customer service so helpfully tells me that it isn't a problem with their App! The problem must be my device! Really? LOL...Why didn't the agent just say she was on her 50th potty break and that her real issues revolved less around my Apple IPads lack of Flash and more around her need to flush?!
