Description
Pebble Hike is an app that works with your Pebble smart-watch (http://getpebble.com) to provide real-time location information directly to your watch screen.

Pebble Hike is aimed at U.K hikers, runners and bikers that use Ordnance Survey maps to navigate. We provide three screens of information :
- A representation of your current OS grid square with a marker showing your location within the square and, if you're moving, your approximate bearing.
- Your exact easting and northing, sheet number and altitude in metres.
- Your longitude, latitude and altitude in feet.
You cycle through the screens using the "Up" and "Down" buttons on your Pebble. (Users outside the U.K will only see the last screen, the one showing longitude and latitude).
You can also pause updates directly from your Pebble by pressing the centre "Select" button which can help preserve battery life on both your iPhone and Pebble if you don't need regular updates. Just press "Select" again to restart the updates.
In addition if your Pebble doesn't get an update for 5 minutes it'll perform a short vibration to let you know. This could be caused by something as simple as a flat iPhone battery but could be something worse like your phone has fallen out of your pocket, so is a handy security feature too!
Using Pebble to provide this information has several advantages :
1) It saves battery life on your iPhone as you're not constantly unlocking / locking and displaying images on the phone screen,
2) It protects your iPhone from the inevitable bad weather (the Pebble is waterproof, the iPhone isn't!),
3) It is safer for you and your iPhone as if you're crossing tricky terrain you want both hands free so you don't drop your phone or trip over.
So, if you love the Great Outdoors, have a Pebble and iPhone then this is the app for you!
Note : continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
We recommend you only use location functions when needed.

Won't communicate with watch
It sees my watch but won't communicate.
Spent way too many hours uninstalling and reinstalling trying to get it working.
Very frustrating.
Going for simplicity is great...
...but adding MGRS and UTM would make it perfect.
Not working
