Use your iPhone as a step counter. Pedometer++ lets you easily keep track of your daily and weekly step counts, without any impact on your battery life. You can view your progress each day from either the iPhone app, Today View widget or Apple Watch app.'s iOS Health & Fitness App of the Year.

For best results make sure that you keep your iPhone on you as you move throughout the day, ideally in a trouser pocket close to your hips.

Pedometer++ integrates with the Health app in order to collect and display data collected by your Apple Watch. It can display your step count, walking distance, active calories and heart rate data.

This update includes:
- The ability to start either an outdoor or indoor (treadmill) walk in the Apple Watch app
- A fix for a rare bug that resulted in missing day counts
- A lot of clean up and minor fixes to issues introduced by the last update.

Apple Watch App No Longer Functions Properly

[EDIT: I now have an iPhone X and this app won’t even load properly. It crashes after displaying old data every time. The issues mentioned below were persistent on a 7 Plus And an Watch original series. I will change this review once these errors are fixed.]

Pedometer++ used to update perfectly on the watch. Not anymore. No matter how many times I have reset the watch and phone, Pedometer++ does not reflect current data on its complication on the watch. I select the app and open it and it will reflect a step count close to the phone app’s step count, but never the same number. Go back to the main watch face, and the complication shows 0 steps. Why is it so hard to display one data set across platforms?

Smoke free and walking away the craving

I quit smoking many times. But not successfully, failure wouldn’t work. I’ve always loved walking but didn’t want to walk a track. With the pedometer app I keep track of the miles a I walk to not smoke. As well as the miles I walk at work. I lost 14 pounds. I look and feel better than I did 20 years ago. Ty


I walk the track at the local gym, so I walk approximately the same route each time. The number of steps to hit 2 miles is exact each time. So, the app calibration based on my height appears to be perfect.

I have similar results when walking an outdoor route.
