I’ve kept a small account at People’s for years … but kept my primary account at another bank that acquired the bank that acquired a long succession of others in the Springfield area.
Today, the clerk that assisted me explained the benefits of People’s new “High Yield Savings Account” … I really appreciated her suggestion.
Why deal with any other bank that have less convenience, fewer branches and indifferent staff?
I closed my other accounts and consolidated everything with People’s … they are absolutely the BEST

App Works Well, Few Suggestions
I enjoy having the app to check balances, deposits, etc., and make quick transfers. For some reason, face recognition doesn’t work for me for this app, which would be an improvement if it did, but it could be user error, I guess. I wish this had the feature of being able to make (searchable) notations for transactions. That’s something I could do with my old bank and I used it frequently. I could type “OK” in a description to note I had reviewed it against the receipt, etc. Or I could make a note that I paid something, but someone had given me part or all of the money. It was great for keeping track of everything in one place. I’ve had a problem with zelle since last year. A family member sent me money that I’ve never been able to access. I’m not sure if it’s connected to the app, or not, though.
Frustrated with new system
I’m finding the new online banking system very frustrating! I have bills that have gone unpaid ( now up to date, fingers crossed) Yes, I have been to my local branch for help. They called corporate for answers.
My biggest problem has been with ebills, which was standard for years! I’m now to understand they no longer exist, not sure the reason.
I’m moderately tech savvy, I’m more than frustrated.
Please resend clarification for online banking.
