What's New in Version 2.6
Not very user friendly
Be ready for tons of obnoxious pop-ups. It's also not at all intuitive or useful for someone with irregular periods. I track my ovulation but as far as I've been able to find, there is no actual way to input that information. It predicts ovulation, which might be helpful for some users but not for me. You can add notes but it doesn't make the information easy to find (digging through notes at the dr. rather than just seeing it on the calendar). Not too pleased with this one overall.
UPDATE: I've come across a few more oddities in this app. If you indicate that you are pregnant, it will say "280 Days till Due Date" (or something to that effect) which is cute and all, except that it doesn't calculate back to the first day of your last period (which is how the 280 days are calculated), it calculates as if the day you select you're pregnant. That means, best case scenario, you're off by 4 weeks or so by the time you'd even know you were pregnant, if you thought to select that on the day you found out. As far as I can find there is no way to modify this, so it's not very helpful. Also, your "Days Late" alert (if you don't select that you're pregnant since that function is useless) resets every month. It doesn't say "You period is 60 days late!", instead it resets back to zero every month. Seems like a lot of these things are just very marginally functional to try to get you to buy the upgrade.
I do not regret buying!
It covers pretty much every base you need to keep track of, even though I only use it for my periods right now because I don't have sex and I don't need to know when I'm ovulating since I'm not trying to get pregnant. It will be useful in the future though! It has the note option where you put down your symptoms ranging from moods to body temperature. It predicts your periods after a while and will notify you when you are about to start within just a day or two depending on the predictability of your cycles. This really helps you keep track, hence the proper name of "Period Tracker"! The thing I use the least is the forum option just because my views heavily differ from what most people's opinions are so what others say on it don't really help me any. It might be good for someone with lots of questions or just someone looking to learn something new! So far no complaints from me, I'd recommend it for any level of a girl from novice to a pro when it comes to tracking periods.
The Cycle of life
I like this app because it helps to keep track of my menstrual cycle which always seem difficult to keep a eye on. I gives me a little heads up as to what day it's happening so I can now plan friends and family events carefully around them. No one wants to deal with those troublesome things when you have better things to do like running off to the club with out having to grab a few sanitary nap or becoming the tampon warrior in the club. It even helps to narrow down date night. For people like me who want no kids right now it gives a extra sound piece of mind that if the condom or pill fail their is always the fact that I'm not fertile or ovulating when I do the dirty little do. I can regulate a natural and complicated system. Taming the wild.
