Optional account sign up
Well, if your goal was to push me to Sibley's, you've succeeded. The insanely annoying demands that I create an account every time I fire up the app make this thing unusable. I realize that some people would love to share their bird lists across apps....but I wish you'd realize that some of us just want to look up birds without harassment. Goodbye!
Update: now resolved--accounts are optional. Thank you!
This app is amazing. The user-friendly interface makes it one of the most useful of the birding apps currently available, and the pictures, replete with identification points, are second to none. I am a long time birder and early adopter of nearly every North American birding app and I can honestly say that Peterson Birds is the one I turn to most often.
Edit: I paid full price for this app, now they want an additional 15 bones for full usage. Use iBird Ultimate or Sibley. This is a solid rip-off.
Are you kidding?
Really? I need to create an account to open a field guide? Used to use this regularly but no longer will. Too bad - it used to be my go to bird book.
Update: Return to OPTIONAL account creation is appreciated.
