Bug Fixes and Enhancements
No Facebook Account; No multi-member use
Even Nest took a while to become a multi user device/app. I was disappointed to see that I could not invite family members to join in using the device.
I was and am always disappointed when I must create and manage a new user account for services rather than be able to use my Facebook account. This problem has been solved... so why not use it??
As for the feeder... I'm disappointed with how light it is and how small the bowl access is. My Old English Bulldog really moves the thing around when eating.
Also, disappointed with how weak the food delivery is to the bowl. A significant amount of the serving stays up in the shoot and doesn't make the bowl until its rattled loose by a dedicated canine.
Poor app quality and terrible customer service
Have had the Petnet Smart Feeder for almost a year. Still having a number of issues with both the app and the feeder, and have received no meaningful support responses.
Overall the app UI is confusing and features like low food alerts have been removed without warning. Other features like Smart Delivery of food have never been added though marketed when I bought the product.
The app does not correctly measure the amount of food dispensed each feeding, other times a feeding is not completed and I don't receive a notification.
It's very much a product still in beta, with poor communication and customer service.
New App is Poor
They eliminated certain features, such as a low food warning notifications. Do not update.
