Ratings and Reviews
Too slow, held back by advertising
This app is very annoying with advertising, some you have to interact with to move on to the next article. After approximately 3 articles you get an advertisement and you have to wait around 5 seconds to get past it, sometimes you have to interact with it which takes even longer. Also sometimes you have to hit the back home button to move on. I understand the need for the advertising but the hold time is much to long and the interaction required is ridiculous. I am ready to give up on it, the PG Slide is much better.
One sided single viewpoint
This historical publication has become a one sided editorial embarrassment. This was evidenced by the recent firing of political cartoonist Rob Rogers.
I will not read, nor suggest that anyone else take the chance of being presented less than accurate reporting and editorial decision making. What is printed can not be trusted as valid. There is no objectivity provided in an environment where choice is staple for decision making. When only one side is presented, there can be no democracy. This is a sad state of affairs that causes question regarding what information is provided as news.
Pretty and bad
Aesthetically it’s nice. However, stories don’t update, the daily edition is days old and when it does get “new” stories they are days old. The PG reader is bad about updating new stories but this app is awful on that front. For all the money spent to advertise it, you’d think they would get the actual content piece sorted out first. Unless get news out to the public isn’t really the priority...
