Some great - some, not so much!
Good: Great storyline- superb graphics (I even watched all of cutscenes because I wanted to) - amazing voice overs - really expressive & some very creepy - gave me chills. The characters were well done which is not always the case. The Strategy Guide was a good one - thank goodness, because …
Bad: I hate hints that are sentences. This one wasn't too bad as they were sometimes fairly specific, like, "Put the lamp on the table in the Police Station." Not bad if you were already in the Police station. But if you weren't, you might find yourself in big trouble. If this game had a map, it would be close to perfect, but there was NO map of any kind, much less one that transports & tells you where things are to do. Some people might not mind, but I have a learning disability with directions & before I discovered the SG, I found myself wandering around in circles & getting very frustrated. Having to go back & forth to the SG every time I had to change locations, was pretty irritating! I can't imagine having a game in this day & age with no map. It almost ruined it for me, but I made it through, including the Bonus Chapter. It was a little short for the cost.
I enjoyed it in spite of the problems & had no technical problems or glitches.

Long a favorite of my PC games, I'm happy to see this mobile version available. Story is very interesting and ultra-creepy - think "The Shining" in a sleepy (dead?) Swiss resort.
Graphics are simply sumptuous and the detailing is exquisite. Characters are diverse and acting voices are terrific. Puzzles and games are solid, although the first mini-game gave me fits. One icon disappeared, the thermometer cooperated but no map appeared! Good thing nobody else was around - I was mad enough to murder! 😋🙀
A twist on the usual HOP: you've an option to match 3 items in the HOS, which I find interesting. Also, you accrue points in this game, for those who are especially competitive. Personally, I like watching those numbers add up.
The plot is intriguing enough to keep me playing long into the night, sipping hot chocolate (better make it a Hot Toddy🍷) beside a cozy fire in the fireplace. And wanting to set a trap for that dang gopher! 😄🐹
I'm not way deep in the game as of yet but will return to update if this game 'un-earns' my 5
Thanks bunches, ERS and BFG. Your talents and creative energies are appreciated!💋💋
Until next time, fellow gamers:

PHANTASMAT The second?
I have to say I was a bit disappointed in both B F and the company that did this retake. They usually have great games and the 2nd of the series should have been better than just the same story over again in a different place. It did have good voice overs, and strategy guide. The HOPs were okay but a little hard to make out in places, but not impossible. The reason I went ahead and gave it four stars was that it did get better with great scenery toward the end. The ICE PALACE was beautiful and our hero was able to convince them they were all dead so they could finally leave and find peace. Ps didn't see any rats or snakes.
Thank you anyway BF and ERs it did give me a way to pass the time that's all anyone could ask. Snooper-158
