Not worth 2 dollars or your time

Such a fun game in person, terrible app to play on. I want to be able to play my own music while playing this phase 10. Also abilities to cancel and return my skip card back to my hand if I don’t want to skip someone anymore. A chatting feature or better set up so I can chat with my friends or even video chat while playing or else it is really boring to just wait for them to play there hand. I hate the “change cards for 1 coin” feature, it gets really annoying fast. Also it’s annoying to have to “return to lobby” just to go back to solo game from multiplayer and vice versa. Seriously for a 2 dollar game, I expected better since most apps that are free are more user friendly. Also what’s the literal point of the point system if it doesn’t get you anything? Maybe a coin for reaching over 500 points in a game? Plus the stupid score board doesn’t takes too long to play the games that actually cost coins. I like this game because my friend wants to play with me but it’s getting old fast. Like you want people to buy it just to not have the extremely over occurring ads, what happened to creating games without money grabbing.

Stupid AI ruins an otherwise great game

Phase 10 is a lot of fun! This game is decently made, and captures the mechanics well. However, the AI is extremely limited. For example, they will intentionally sabotage the last place player via skips (regardless of whether it is a human or not), instead of the player most likely to beat them. This leads to the human either having an unrealistically easy game (they never get skipped) or an unrealistically hard game (all AI players skip human if she’s in last place). Additionally, the “hard” modes appear to unrandomly deal poor hands to the human and good hands to AI in an effort to get the human to make an inapp purchase to improve their hand. This is over about 100 hands played, so my sample may be skewed. I just want to pay for an app that represents the real game, not one that lets me pay to win. To me, “hard” mode should mean that the deal is 100% random, and the AI doesn’t make mistakes. In this game, it appears that hard mode gives the player an unrandomly bad hand (e.g. needing 3-5 cards to make your phase) and the AI an unrandomly good hand (e.g. needing 0-3 cards to make their phase) and causes the AI to make mistakes not in the human’s favor).

I check back periodically to see if anything has changed. We should all just give up. They don’t get it. It’s about money and advertising for these people. This is a perfect example of “if it ain’t broke...”
Simple way for everyone to get what they want is to bring us back phase 10. Let us play the old version and opt out of the advertising = money. It’s a win/win. However, they’ve clearly chosen to leave us with this broke down crap. Bye Phase 10. I’m done.

This is so very sad. I keep checking back to see if it's back to normal and clearly it's not. I'm still happily playing the original version, I refuse to update and will simply delete once it stops working.

I say have two versions. One, original and one whatever this is. I also say we can create our own thing instead of begging them to fix something they clearly messed up for corporate reasons. Let them have this wack cartoon of a game!!!

I normally do not leave reviews but this is my second review on how horrible this game has become.

However, I got a new phone and it picked up the old fun version!!! I am now officially back to playing my favorite game. I loved the old characters, the rotation feature and the scoring. On the new version you can barely see the cartoon's cards. All they had to do was add the multiplayer function to the old version. I am back on the old version and will never update.
