Philips Hue gen 1
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Meet the Hue app. The amazing way to control every Philips Hue product in your home. All from the palm of your hand or from your wrist with the Apple Watch.
With Hue, you’ll see light in a whole new way. It lets you set the ideal lighting for every occasion. It’s clever, intuitive and connected. It‘s a whole new experience.
We call it PERSONAL WIRELESS LIGHTING.
Hue lets you express who you are, through the way you light your home.
Hue can be wherever you want and you can access it whenever you want. Any room. Any space. All wirelessly, through your smart device or Apple Watch.
At its heart, Hue is a lighting solution for the home. It’s functional and practical. But it can also be emotive and inspiring. It’ll change the way you think about home lighting. Forever.
Philips Hue starter pack (bulbs + Bridge or Bloom + Bridge or Iris + Bridge or LightStrips + Bridge). Single Hue lighting products and Hue accessories can then be added, up to a maximum of 50 products per bridge.

DISGRACEFUL and LAZY
Edit: Don't see the new app here? They couldn't care less about your iPad. No support for you!
The developers on this app should be fired. This is the most embarrassing, frustrating, counter-intuitive and even harmful app. It's obvious that the geniuses that created this app have never used it before. Creating a scene using a picture is so unhelpful it's as though the Philips team is teasing me. You can't create scenes from scratch, when you try all of your lights come on in completely random colors which you have to correct before you can start. And because you're stuck with this HORRIBLE and INFURIATING application if you want HomeKit integration (the ability to use Siri to control your lights - but only 12 of them) you are forced to put up with it. No updates and they ignore emails and feedback. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND WAITING TO PURCHASE HUE LIGHTS AND GO WITH THEIR COMPETITION which will undoubtedly force Philips to replace this piece of body waste.
Could Be Better
I want an app that will (primarily) let me turn my lights on and off and (optionally) schedule when that happens.
It is possible to do that with this app, but it is confusing and not straightforward at all because of dramatic feature bloat. The whole thing seems to have been designed for DJs managing a nightclub instead of for a dad managing his house.
That being said, once you manage to understand how to use it, it's possible to control your lights and create schedules for them. I do like the ability to "fuzzy" schedule, which lets you have lights on or off at a certain time plus or minus a half hour.
I'd dearly love to see the ability to schedule lights based on sunrise and sunset, which should be simple for the app to determine based on geolocation.
As a hue user, I prefer the old app, thanks for keeping it around. The designers of the new app were clearly designers, and not users of your product or it would have never launched. The old app was way better in my opinion, but to nag me to use the new app and require that I dismiss a notification to turn on my lights is a joke. Turning on the lights should be one step, and having a pop up every time I use the app is a generally poor design. I can only guess the designers the made your new app are responsible for this also, as the dont seem to understand ease of use or what people do with your products. One star for you until you learn how people use your products.
