I have thousands of photos on my iPad which I've been wanting to/trying to organize and a myriad of ongoing projects, most of which involve creating yet more photos and/or generating umpteen million screenshots. Been doing things in a very cumbersome way utilizing iPad's built-in functions (which are not good!) and searching for an app that would make things more productive and efficient. I've finally found it! Have gotten more accomplished along these lines in the last two weeks since I've downloaded this app than in the two years since I've had my iPad! Very easy to learn and use. Was up and running within minutes. Have imported over 5,000 photos very quickly and easily, backed up 3,000 or so to my computer. The open in function and the IOS copy and paste are great. Haven't had any crashing and hasn't slowed down as I've imported more. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with this app. So far my only complaint is it would be nice to have a scroll bar for moving around large folders, but that's a tiny thing compared to what it does! And would love to be able to add text info/notes but am quite happy for now!!
Great, but improvements requested
Bravo to the developer. I've tried every photo management app, and this one is the best. Still, I hope the following improvements will be added in future versions:
Please add true drag-and-drop for moving into folders, not just for sorting order. There should be an option for a scrollable split window view, with the window on the right showing contents of a folder, and on the left showing thumbnails for various folders. Then we should be able to drag a file (or files) from the right window over to a thumbnail folder icon in the folder list, which would be in a scrollable window on the left, to move the selected file(s). We should also be able to do this for multiple files and we should be able to create new folders while in this view. It would make sorting photos and organizing them in multiple folders MUCH easier. This improvement would make the app even more unbeatable.
FTP access is the killer feature
I don’t even need, nor want, most of the features in this app. I really only want to keep my portfolio on the iPhone/iPad in sync with my web site (my main portfolio).
All the other portfolio apps fall short just keeping files in sync. Going through Dropbox or other web sites is just a big hassle.
The other killer feature is having real folders. Combine FTP and folders, and this app is the winner. It’s just shocking that other portfolio apps can’t do these to things.
I’d prefer a portfolio app that only had read-only basic browsing capability. I would never use any of the editing features. I don’t care much for this part of the app, but given it’s the only one with FTP+Folders there’s no other choice.
