Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Photo Sync allows you to download photos from your iphone photo album on to any computer with just a web browser and wifi connection. No cables are required.
Simply open a web browser on your Mac or PC and visit the address (URL) shown on the iphone's screen. [For example http://188.8.131.52:8080].
This will load a web page showing all of the photos stored on your iphone. Any of these images can be saved directly onto your computer.
Photo Sync was developed for the iPhone by Tomsoft - makers of Voice Changer, Ringtone Maker, Trivia Challenge, Joke Book and other great apps.
Best thing since sliced bread
I am so happy I found this, best 99 cents I've ever spent. Worked like a charm for me. For the people who had problems, 1) you must connect via wifi to THE SAME network your computer is on. My phone picked the first network it saw, which was not my network, so of course the link didn't work. 2) with IE6, all I had to do was right click a thumbnail and select "Save Picture As". I got the full sized full quality file saved on my PC.
The only thing I wish they would add is the ability to save all pics and not have to do each one by one. But still give it 5 stars because nothing else comes close to this app - it rocks!!!
Works perfectly! For Mac Safari users, please note!
This app is great! It works smoothly, and makes it easy to get the photos off the phone especially when connecting to iPhoto is not an option. One reviewer noted a problem with Safari downloading html instead of the pictures. The problem is really the instructions-instead of "Download Linked File As..." as the instructions tell you on the photo page, simply use "Save Image As..." Works like a charm! This is the case with Safari 3.2 at least. Thank you developers for a simple, well-designed app!
Did not work for me.
This app looked very promising. I was hoping that it would load up all of my photo albums, but it loads the camera roll, and only the camera roll, via a webpage generated and accessed by typing in an IP address into your browser. I am using Safari 3.2 on Mac OS 10.5.5. It seemed to be working - camera roll images showed up in a thumbnail gallery of sorts. I followed the instructions by secondary clicking on an image and attempting to save the file as a download - only it doesn't work. It saves the webpage as HTML instead. I tried a number of different ways to download the images, and none of them produced results. Sorry TOMSOFT.
