GREAT app for moving photos over wirelessly…on a small scale.
I love this app! I used to hate having to open iPhoto, wait for it to see my iPhone, then wait for it to read all the 5000+ pictures and videos I have in my iPhone, then actually transfer the files over to my computer into folders that were very confusing to locate the actual pictures outside of iPhoto.
This app is great for moving a few photos off or onto your device of your choosing to a location of your choosing.
The app recognizes my iPhone VERY quickly. The layout is great and looks like a ‘mac app'
The only thing I wish they could improve on is the ability to delete photos on the iPhone from within the app.
Also, I dont really care for how they separate the pages. It is very difficult to navigate through your photos when you have about 6000 of them because you have to flip through a predefined set of pages. Good news though, it remembers your selections even when switching and loading the new pages.
Definitely get this app if you want to move a few photos off or on your device without having to connect. But I wouldnt expect to download an large library of photos and videos over. The transfer speed is pretty slow, especially in comparison to a transfer using a wired connection and an application like iPhoto.
Also, another thing to mention is the screen on the app does not power off when the phone app is open.
Overall, great app that is worth the price!
Works as Advertised
It works and is faster than I expected. It does everything they say it will do and I have had no issues. Another reviewer mentioned a 50 file limit — perhaps that was in an old version. I’ve transferred 75+ at a time.
We have two iPads and two iPhones. This is much easier than trying to keep things organized via the photo stream.
I do have a wish list:
- Ability to remove photos from the iPad/iPhone
- Ability to move photos on iPad/iPhone into albums
- iPhoto integration
- Sync album(s)
2 artists hoping to make an ipad air an art portfolio
must transfer many files from iphoto on a macbook pro to the new ipad air. tried using itunes at first, but that is not feasible when any file is moved or deleted from itunes. this app works like a charm. if you upload a folder full of pictures to the ipad, and the next night another folder, the first folder does not disappear. hope i am describing this well, as this little app is a life saver for those who work in art/jpegs/pics.
