Worst Math App Help
My niece had me download the app to help solve math problems. unlike the other math apps like Scrotic it doesn't do a great job. The first problem it keeps scanning problems way to long and gives you multiple answers, then quickly gives you another answer before you can check that one. Secondly it keeps vibrating when scanning. I only scanned some common core 9th grade math problems and it had difficulty scanning them. I had to write a simple equation such as 3x+ 2= 8 then it can give me a answer but a complicated question such as function it could not solve. Also if a question has multiple answers given to choose from written like (1) or (2) it thinks it is apart of the equation and gives a completely WRONG answer. I would highly NOT recommend downloading this app don't waste your time. Also it says in September you will have to be charge for the plus
My student and I worked through a complex radical equation and, after about thirty steps, came to the answer. It was so long in coming that we then tried Photomath on it. We were impressed that Photomath went through each and every step we had taken, in full detail and showing all work. I was amazed that Photomath did all that in about one second. Well done.
You do need very clearly written equations, and it's best if they are typeset from a book or with an equation maker. If not, you need to write like a textbook. But it's worth it.
Life saver - from a college student
Because professors don't have time to answer every little question and tutors are sinfully expensive, I use this app. This has been a godsend because I am able to work backwards and learn the steps I previously learned how to do in class. It's great for making sure I did things correctly and teaching myself steps. The *only* reason the review is 4 stars is because I'm not sure how it will hold up when I get to the more advanced math. If it does hold up, I'll come back and change my review to 5 stars!
