Could be better, if...
I have spent most of my time so far looking for the support for using a real piano or keyboard with this. Learning to play a piano on the little sliding keyboard seems more like a circus act than a practical teaching tool. Interface to a midi keyboard using a dongle, or even detect external piano keys played using a simple microphone (and perhaps some very sophisticated software) would make this into a Much more valuable teaching tool.
Without a better way to view the sheet music, it seems that we must learn to play the songs by ear and with perfect memory... At least if there is any expectation to play on anything but the freak show keyboard.
Maybe this app is being incorrectly marketed. It is almost worth the price as a killer karaoke app. Otherwise, judging by the number of 5 star reviews, I must be missing the point here.
Decent but for ten dollars should be mind blowing
This app has a few glitches I would like to see fixed since it is so expensive..first off the welcome screen that is supposed to walk me through the app is completely blank, second I think the option to label the keys should be available for people like me who are learning piano and lastly I have to move my iPad every time I play a new song because the screen starts up side down from my smart cover it's quite annoying.. Fix these things and make your product worth the money it's not like it's hard to make an piano app using someone else's songs. All I. Saying is put some effort into it if your gonna charge so much...and also something that would make this app worthwhile to a WHOLE lot more people is to make it compatible with the keyboard for the iPad I've read a lot that they don't like using it with the app recommended..
This app is a fun way to learn some Elton John songs. Overall app works well. Good tutorial. I would like to see more fluidity in the music. Sometimes sounds too rigid, like a beginner recital. I would also like an improvement in the sound of the piano. It's not bad but could be better.
