Crashing Glitch

Dear Snpachat,
I first want to say that I am slightly obsessed with snapchat and I really enjoy using it all the time. I know that everyone complains about it crashing all the time which is annoying but I know that y'all are trying your best to fix it. For me, however, when my snapchat crashes, it logs me out. I'm using an iPhone, so when I double click my home button and clear all the apps, it also logs me out. This also happens if I have snapchat on in the background but I'm not on it for a few minutes. Another problem that I've been having is with viewing people's stories. When I tap to load the stories it just keeps telling me tap to load and it never actually loads the story. I've been checking the reviews on the App Store to see if it's happening to other people but it's not. I've also asked other people and it's not happening to them. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I greatly appreciate whatever you can do to help me.

So much awful

I'll leave my old review in place, because it's still all true. But this latest update just made it worse. No more filters unless you enable location services. Why can't I put the time on my snap without turning on notifications? Pretty sure you don't need that. I don't give apps access to my location unless it is integral to the primary use of the app (e.g. a map app). I still wish here was a way to rate something with a zero.

There is so much about this that drives me nuts. Two big things. First, I get notifications for about half of the snaps I receive. That makes it pretty unusable for a conversation. By the time I see a reply I have no clue what the person is talking about. Second, lost snaps. Did you know that if you send a lot of snaps the receiver very well may not get to view them? That's right, they see that you sent them but when the open the app they are gone. So all the things you said are lost and what isn't lost is missing context. I thought this was supposed to be the new way to communicate.

The ironic bug fix

To discuss potential flaws in a application is a task with ease, but let's not forget that on your behalf it is a potential challenging obstacle to handle every single dilema that occurs such as sudden app crashes, or fixing one bug, but creating another bug. I have currently been using snapchat since 2012, and I cannot deny that snapchat over the course of half a decade has dynamically changed for the better. Snapchat has never let me down, and I know that a bug such as the flash not going of on the back camera will not cease your potential to fix it. Continue the awesome updates and little improvements. -Alex
