Ratings and Reviews

After a (very) long time, the update for Picoli finally arrived. And it’s a fantastic update, almost a new app! We get a fresh iOS7-design with changing backgrounds depending on the photo you are editing, which looks really cool and it has all the tools you expect + a few more. It’s fast and I also don’t see any crashes on my iPhone 5. It’s my standard app for photo editing now, well done!

Fav photo app

I have not used previous versions of this app but tried it out yesterday after a friend recommended it. It really is AWESOME! Super easy to use and you can make all the changes you would normally do in Photoshop. The filters are a lot of fun and even the kids play around with this. I can now rework my pics while waiting at the dentist or on long flights. Loving it!

Great program with promise. Worth the price.

So far, this is the only program of its kind. It works fine. Like a mini mini photoshop. Filters alter color balance, brightness, contrast etc. Works as advertised. Price is just right, IMO. I think there is some interpolation going on as the final image quality varies depending on how many filters you use and what strength they are used. But, it does alway keep the original image untouched. Also, when using its own built-in capture, it saves an original (in high quality) to the camera roll. Very smart.

I did use it to brighten and sharpen some images with text which I uploaded to Evernote and the results are better text recognition with Evernote's OCR. This alone is probably worth the price of the app. Also, the interface is very "iPhone." Simple and to the point.

What it could use: Black and white conversion, not just desaturate. Better final image quality at top resolution (although they are great for email). White balance tool. Cropping tool. Maybe distortion, just for fun. None of these are essential, but would be the natural evolution of this program.

Worth the money. Totally.
