Description

Now with support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus!

PillAware is a daily pill reminder app that reminds you to take your pills based on location and time. PillAware provides timely, relevant alerts to help you stay on top of your health plan.

Use PillAware to keep track of your daily medications, vitamins, and supplements. Unlike many pill tracking apps, you won't need to spend a lot of time entering unhelpful details about your medicines. PillAware only collects the information necessary to get you the reminders you need.

PillAware is the first pill reminder application that uses iBeacon technology to remind you to take your pills. iBeacon allows PillAware to have pinpoint location-based alerts without using GPS. Please note: PillAware exclusively supports iBeacons from Estimote.

Ratings and Reviews

Lacks basic feature set

MDcali

Unpolished software, missing basic functionality like a weekly log of when things were taken, and ability to undo pills taken (if you accidentally pressed wrong button)

Can't recommend

Mr Toner

There's no option to set reminder times, particularly when you need multiple doses in a day. Make a mistake in adding a med? You can't edit or delete it. Types are limited to pills: no sprays, creams, etc. And there's no way to get data out of the app.

So close, but needs a bit of work

I've got a vitamin supplement I need to take once in the morning and once at night. I wish I could account for more than one dose daily in the app.

I've got another med I take as needed. That's even worse. I need to know how much I've taken so far to prevent accidental overdose and also track how much is left. I'm the worst at refills.

Finally, I've got a transdermal patch. I love the minimalist style, but I get confused when absolutely no icon looks remotely like a patch.

While I'm on the topic of the patch, I sometimes forget to take it off in a timely manner. I really could use a way to record how long I actually leave it on rather than just an alarm to take it off.

And, uh, more finally, I recently had to temporarily add a twice-daily antibiotic. I cannot move the doses closer together, it would destroy everything probiotic in my digestive tract, which hurts a lot. I cannot take this med with food and many other meds must be taken with food, so I have to create two periods of at least three hour fasting in my day. Scheduling is a nightmare. I wish alarms could be attached directly to meds or groups of meds.

I'm not sure I'm really the best target audience for your app, which is a shame because I really like it.
