Customer Reviews

Great visual curation, not as customizable anymore

Still enjoy the product but I will echo sentiments about board thumbnails on the profile while adding that users should be able to put public and private boards in any order they please. Recency does not imply importance to the user. And web order clumps all private boards at the bottom when a private board might be of higher importance to the user.

I like recommended pins because the recommendations are more often than not relevant to my defined scope of taste for design etc, but would be nice if they were filtered so I don't see things I already pinned. For the people who hate the recommendations, maybe track how often they engage with recommendations and offer less but more-vetted more-popular content they haven't pinned yet so they get value from it.

I appreciate that the Pinterest team fixed the main feed so that you stay in the same spot even if you flip the iPad app from portrait to landscape. But the app is unstable once you go more than a couple related pins deep. And that when I pin a related pin from one of my own boards, the app automatically swipes over to the adjacent more recent pin on its own every time, which is annoying.

Really hate the new my boards section

I have to echo a lot of the other reviews I just read. I've got the new app on my iPad and while I like the news feed, I hate the section for my boards. I have so many boards that it takes me way too much time to scroll through it all to find what I want. I like the old style where I could see at least 12 of my boards at a time (the board covers) instead of now where there's maybe 2 boards visible at a time. And "just search for what you want" is Not an answer. I tried to search for something but couldn't quite remember what to look for so took an insane amount of time to find, where the old way I could have found the board and scrolled quickly for it. Please at least give us the option to have just one board cover like the old style!!

Secondly, now when I try to use my web browser on my iPad it's practically forcing me to the app AND I can't get to my boards so I can actually get to what I want, or reorder them to be able to organize them for that less than helpful "organize like the web" option in the app.

Definitely not going to use this very much until it's been improved....

New look

I love the new look of Pinterest. It's more streamlined and sleeker. Looks beautiful!

That said, I agree with the other reviews regarding having control of what you want to see. I enjoyed the older model where I could pick who I wanted to follow and only see the things those people post. Now I can't find pins from people I follow because it is all suggestions from you!!! If you go back to the old ways people would still buy things from pins. They would probably buy more things because they wouldn't feel "high pressure sales tactics". Let us find what we want on our own. The joy of Pinterest is the things you stumble on to while looking at things you like.

Now you won't remove an ad when I say I don't like ads!!!!!! I don't care if someone paid to have their ad on Pinterest. I don't want to look at it. Maybe I should mark it as offensive and see if it goes away.
