Let's Try Again...
Okay so the newest update and layout is a major inconvenience and I suggest reverting to the old format that was easier to navigate. Now if you would like to make changes to enhance the Pinterest experience, what about making sub-folders? I've heard this idea from many other people, but what if Pinterest could design subfolders. For instance, I have a fandom dedicated folder, what if I could have subfolders that I could more easily organize into subfolders rather than design entirely new ones that won't even have that much? Or for travel boards, people could have subfolders for different destinations and all. For clothing boards, sub folders for dresses, business attire, specific clothing basically. Health/Beauty boards, subfolders for say facials or eye makeup. Crafts or DIY boards with subfolders for knitting or building or painting and what have you. Possibilities are endless. Also, improve the secret boards. There should be an option after its creation to make it public or send pins and what have you. But I've heard about the subfolder idea many times and I think it would be an improvement. Especially looking at the new format of the boards. When I open a board, It now opens the way it does when I click on users, I half expect there to be boards. So building upon that feature, perhaps subfolders could be easily constructed that way?
No Organization
I hate this new update. It's so hard to find my folders now. Before I was able to organize my account the way I wanted it, placing each folder where I prioritized it should be, making it easy to remember where each one was. Now only the most recently used folders are first. I have to scroll through everything to find what I'm looking for. I dislike that each folder now takes up twice the previous space, taking longer to view and scroll past each one. I'm unhappy that I can no longer choose my own album covers, which had been a really fun feature. Now only my most recent pins are showing in jumbled collages, giving each folder a much more cluttered appearance. I dislike that there is no separation between private and public albums now, it felt more organized before knowing exactly where to look for the different albums. It's too difficult to navigate through my own account now, and I'm greatly frustrated over these new difficulties. I finally felt that I had to delete my less frequently used albums just to find my more current albums faster and more easily. I shouldn't have needed to delete anything, so I'm very angry about that. I don't find any of these new changes affective or attractive, I would prefer the older version. With so many people writing bad reviews and upset by this new version I would hope changes are made soon to this app.
Unhappy with new layouts!
Yes I rated this a one... Makes me feel weird to even write that. I've been using Pinterest since it came out and had been in love with it! I use it for EVERYTHING!! Now days though it's more hassle then it's worth! For content and links it's excellent. I know I am not alone in saying that the new "profile" layout is awful. It honestly gives me a headache to look at. How about updating it in other ways.... Like fixing the glitch that resets the whole app when your screen times out. I'll have Pinterest open for a recipe open and when my screen shuts off as I cook, I unlock my phone and even though the app is open it goes back to newsfeed not to the pin it was on.. This wasn't an issue until 2updates ago(the one before Christmas2015) but honestly please take note to the fact that many people aren't happy with the layout on boards... Much preferred that we could move boards around to where we wanted and they were 2x2 not this 1board across stuff. It stinks!! Also dislike the "pins" board that is always the first one when I look at my profile... What in the world is the point! Please take all of my concerns as well as everyone else's into consideration before things start to fall apart.
