So sick of it!

This isn't really about the app as much as just Pinterest. If your using a mobile browser and it takes you to a Pinterest site and you select anything it ask if you want to use the app- and even if the app is installed on my phone it does not go to the app, instead it takes you to the App Store but not the app. So I can not get what I’m looking at on my browser to open up at all to view it! Not on the web and not on the app either! Because it only wants to go to the App Store which I have the app. So the store is useless! If I'm looking at something through the browser that is where I want to stay- if I wanted to use the app I would have started there. You get the option to continue in browser, but it will still automatically start trying to open or force an App Store download right away. Then after switching back to the browser again you select to view a pin and it flips you back to the App Store or to the app again instead! If I wanted to use the app I WOULD have done so or selected that option earlier, trying to force it on me does not make me want to use the app. It makes mean angry and more likely NOT to use the app! Because trying to force it on me feels like it is a way to gather more personal data on me aged my phone instead of letting me decide to stay where I am and have I not selected to go to the app you should respect that and quit trying to force it

Miss the old Pinterest

I have been on Pinterest since the beginning when it was invite only. Since that time, I have spent hours each day browsing Pinterest and truly loved the app. I HATE the recent changes implemented by Pinterest, each update is worse than the next and I have been using Pinterest less and less. I miss the old Pinterest where you would see pins posted by the people you follow. That was the whole reason I used Pinterest, to see tailored content I was interested in posted by people I followed. I also miss how you would see other boards a picture was posted to, this allowed me to find more content and users with similar tastes. Now my feed is purely ads and “picked for you” content which I am rarely interested in and/or is repetitive. Also, when I pin something my feed is then overrun by that topic. I understand the need for ads but either have an ad banner or balance the amount of ads/picked for you content with pins from the people you are following. Also hate how it does not show who posted the pin. Overall Pinterest has become very generic and I find it difficult to find unique content which was the initial purpose of using the app. I have definitely been using other apps such as Instagram instead. I hope you consider the feedback from your loyal customers because things are going downhill fast.
