Pip is a new kind of social network, going beyond the wall and beyond the timeline to improve the way people live and communicate. Through combining elements of social media, geocaching, and augmented reality, users can leave their content in real places for real people to interact with and appreciate.
Some considerations: Pip is an augmented reality geolocation application which places significant demands on your device. For example, your device’s camera takes time to pass exposure and focus control to Pip. Please give your device’s camera a moment to catch up. Likewise, Pip is reliant on the location services provided by your device. Waiting for your device to locate itself to within 10 meters (five meters is best) will provide optimal results. Current devices are rarely able to pinpoint their location accurately in buildings. Finally, your device’s cellular signal strength will dictate how quickly your Pips are saved and retrieved.

Best AR app since Pokemon Go!
Social media these days has been getting kind of stale so it’s awesome to see a platform that’s made a brave new world of its own. Rather than having endless scroll into the past with post after post, I can find my history etched into the world our phones have too often left behind.
I’m leaving mementos in all my favorite haunts and remembering them when its most relevant—when I’m there! I highly recommend this for people who like to run or hike, it’s a great way to blaze a trail without negatively affecting the environment. I can mark the best rest stops and all the places I’ve seen animals and plants—which I can now track through time and the seasons!
I’m leaving recommendations at all the restaurants, from best table to best menu item. When I want to try something new, I just check my list of what I haven’t tried yet there 👍🏻
I’m even trying my hand at advertising at local businesses, or rather, commenting on their advertisements without resorting to graffiti. Speaking of which, no pen in a bathroom stall? No problem. 😈
Pip is the future of social media and I’m loving my part in it.
Impressive. I never thought of leaving a message for someone at a place. Love the AR stuff.
