Use PiP2 to show video from any webcam on your screen, nicely integrated as "Picture in Picture" which makes it ideal for live presentations, screencast recordings and in the educational sector.
PiP doesn't clutter the dock with an additional icon: After launch it automatically installs itself in the menubar and the user can define a keyboard shortcut to smoothly fade in and out the video.
What's New in Version 2.0.2
- Fixed an issue which caused 16:9 video appear in letter box format on screen (black bars)
- When launching, PiP2 now checks if the last window position is still valid and resets the window's position to its default, if not. This might happen if you put PiP2's window onto an external screen and then removed this screen.
Generally Pretty Good
I use this to put a Window on my screen when I'm screen sharing on a conference (Google Hangout, Join.me, etc). It basically does what I want except for two things.
1. I can use a LOT of CPU. I wish I could do something (reduce framerate?) to reduce the CPU usage.
2. It can vanish - as some people have mentioned. It has to do with having multiple monitors. If I launch it on my primary monitor it works - but if I use spotlight to launch the app on of my other monitors the window never appears. Go figure.
