Please Update!!

I love this game very much. In fact, I even love Pirates in Love more compared to some of voltage's newer games. So I truly hope that Voltage has not abandon this game and continue to update it, both the stories and the gameplay.

I've only played Captain Alan's route and have replayed it countless times, so I can't say much but Ives realized that the older games feel much more meaningful than the newer games (though they can be quite touching as well). For example, when I've played Alan's route and I've played A Knight's Devotion, I like that there's hardly a mention of sex, especially because I feel like being in love doesn't have to mean having a "passionate and tender night" with your lover all the time. Sometimes relationships can be simple like with Captain Alan, though he's weird and pervy.

Honestly

I can see the translations can get sketchy.

Possibly even the story runs flat at times, even maybe a bit predictable.

I am only planning on playing through once, so it doesn't really bother me that once I upgrade my phone that I won't be able to play anymore.

Now to all the good things about it.

Let's start with the characters, absolutely beautiful and they all have strong personalities. So even though at times the story was maybe a little flat and predictable, the characters were still able to keep you interested enough to help you continue on and get through the occasional rough patch.

The translations had a few issues, but when you get really into the story, you do not really notice it that much. Or at least I didn't.

I have had other games from other distributors that were similar, but I always find so many things wrong with them that I keep coming back to voltage and play all of their games.

I think if you have a older operating system give this one a try.

I look forward to seeing what voltage will come up with next.

Thank you voltage for making such a wonderful game with such lovely characters.

Beyond sick of lack of updates

I've been playing this game since its release and have purchased nearly all the stories. So many people have been loyal to this game, but Voltage still refuses to update this game's interface to be compatible with iOS8. Even if you refrained from upgrading to iOS8 for as long as you can, you can't help it if you purchase a new phone. Because Voltage keeps refusing to update this game (along with Seduced in the Sleepless City), so many people can't play the stories they've paid so much money for.

99% of the time, I can't open the app without it crashing, and even when I'm lucky and am able to start a story, the game will crash in the middle of a chapter. Additionally, the game will change my protagonist's name to something else or to what looks like part of the game's coding. I'm not getting emails from the characters after chapters either.

I gave this game five stars a long time ago, but I'm dropping my rating down to one star until Voltage decides to AT LEAST update the interface. I'm still bitter that Voltage decided to stop releasing the remaining substories that are still in Japanese, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess. I just really want to be able to play this game again.

I implore you to please at least make Pirates in Love and Seduced in the Sleepless City compatible for iOS8.
