What's New in Version 2.3.4
Minor bugs fixed.
Works Great when set up correctly
I've had this a year now and at first had some trouble with the wireless connection finding the printer to/ from the living room to the den. It turned out to be signal strength. First had to set up app by the modem in living room with the printer in tow. Done. I ordered and put in a signal booster in the den and that did the trick. I have Comcast Xfinity internet and also includes xfinity connect mobile around the area locations. All I have to be sure is I'm on my home internet or the printer cannot be found. Paper for docs and photo paper sizes easy to choose on drop downs.
Poor design, poor performance, buggy, crashing. It takes 45 seconds to display a list of folders, which it has flattened so that dated folders from many years from under "iPhoto Events" are mingled in with all the top level folders. Why in hell would you do this? I select a photo I took on my phone and it says photo format us not supported? I tried a much older photo, thinking the one I took was too big. The older photo loaded but nothing could be done. I picked the crop icon and the app crashed.
Garbage. Why is the software printer makers provide always garbage? Without fail. We need to be able to rate something zero stars. Anything under three stars for more than 3 months needs to be rejected permanently or until reviewed by a human.
Connection via Wireless Router
It works when I print via direct connection only, but I want to connect and print via a wireless router.
Under 'Wireless LAN setup' the automatic searching cannot find the printer, under the manual option, the two buttons that are shown, 'Connect via wireless router', & 'Direct Connection'. Both take you to the same page for direct connection only, and search for a wi-fi signal from the printer starting with 'Canon_ij_'. Even though mine started with 'CP1200_' ...
Please update so that this app allows for the wireless router option to be reached, and to be searching for a wifi signal with the correct name of the printer's signal.
