At a glance our worldwide coverage includes -

• Europe 95% - realtime
• North America – 100% via slightly US delayed data – Nationwide realtime ADS-B network in place and capturing 95% of ADS-B equipped aircraft
• Rest of World – Excellent coverage in Australia, New Zealand, Central America, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, Dubai, India, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Maldives, Mauritius, Singapore, Hong Kong and many more countries

Important Note:
Plane Finder works by picking up real time ADS-B and MLAT signals used by aircraft to transmit positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS-B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS-B is increasing all of the time. Traditional radar type data in real time is also included for North America.

Only missing weather radar

K-9 Pilot

I enjoy this app, use it to watch friends flights, was able to track flight changes which altered arrival times. The replay function is nice but I sometimes have problems getting a pass flight to play. I'd like to see a history folder or pull down to replay flights. The weather radar overlay could be an in-app purchase. For the money this app is so powerful! Hard to go wrong for what it does.
Additionally I like to see the airframe photos and inclusion. It would be nice to see the ability to expand the airframe or registration search ability to work with some of the aircraft photo-banks online again even if it's an additional add on r in app purchase.

I look forward to a developer response. It appears this developer is VERY VERY responsive to reviews having gone through most reviews of apps in this space this apps owner is the owner

Highly suggested

Afh 2016

I highly suggest this app because, it has live flight tracking, and I will be honest it was a debate between a few flight apps but, I narrowed it down to this one and found that it provided the most information on the route as well as the aircraft and for functional purposes has no ads, is very easy to find flights, easy to find airports and is easy filter. It’s also very good because you can use the camera to see what flights are around you. I would highly suggest this app to anyone who wanted an easy well working and full of information app. It may cost five dollars but I think it’s worth it.

Poor performance and kissing or erroneous info

In my option Plane Finder and Flightradar 24 are the two top apps of their kind in the app store. This app (Plane Finder) used to be my go to app, but I have noticed that this app often lacks information on the flights or the information is down right wrong.

Just a few minutes ago I randomly compared the information of several A/C flying over So. California in both apps.

For example, one FedEx flight from San Diego to Memphis showed the wrong information in Plane Finder. It show that the flight was from Indianapolis to Memphis, when in reality it was going from San Diego to Memphis. A lot of the other planes had very little information. A lot of "N/A's" every where. Some didn't showed the airport of origen and destination of the plane. Again, it said "N/A" on both ends. By comparison Flight Radar 24 was right on with every flight.

I have no idea why this app has such a hard time populating the flight info fields or with giving the wrong information for some flights, but as long as they don't fix those problems FlightRadar 24 is my go to app.

By the way, I have both Plane Finder and Plane Finder HD installed in my iPad and both do the exact some thing.
