Absolutely Fantastic

This app was tremendous *before* the most recent update of March 23, and now it is even better. Now the compass is activated, so you can point the iPad at the sky and see what constellation or heavenly body is there. This is simply a wonderful took, and my 4 year old daughter can use it to see when the moon is rising, the moon phase, or the location of the planets. It's quite something to see a small child successfully reading and interpreting an astronomical chart!

My friend the astrophysicist finds this useful too - he can see different wavelengths of radiation in addition to visible light when looking at the star chart.

I could not recommend this more highly.

Father, armature enthusiast

This has got to be the coolest app I've ever run across, my 14 year old son turned me on to it as his science teacher had used it in class. What an easy interface that even the most novice of astronomy enthusiasts could use. Both entertaining and educational. Worth buying the premium version but totally fun with the free version as well. Thanks to all who had a hand in the creation of this app. I only wish we had something like this when I was his age. Well done!

Awesome app

This app is amazing. I love how we can see the planets close up, sadly, I'd like to view other planets from other solar systems. I have a few ideas but not really important. Say like if we can see where other planets we found are located. I'm not asking to view them in globe mode (though it'd be nice) just to know where they are and information about them. Maybe also about our other planets moons. This app is great enough. But like I said, I just am more interested in other planets.
