Planett: Simple daily & weekly todo list / planner
By Qi Meng
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Planett is a simple planner/todo-list app!
◊ Week-at-a-glance interface makes it easier for you to keep track of your plans ◊
The top bar shows all your plans in that week with abbreviated tags. Too lazy to create a tag for each plan? No worries! We will automatically create tags for you! Of course, you could also customize it yourself!
◊ No confusing options and complicated instructions ◊
Frustrated with planner apps that have too many unnecessary options that only confuse you? Planett is here to save you! Planett gives you the same feeling of simplicity as writing with a paper planner. With the minimum input, Planett plans your day with the most user-friendly designs like no other app does.
◊ Decorate your daily list by posting a picture of the day ◊
Make your lists extra special by uploading a memorable photo each day! By clicking on the default picture, you could change the picture and display a photo of your own. All your pictures are saved locally, which gives you a private place to record your day!
What's New in Version 2.5
This app has a clean design which make me think there might be some potential here but it is way too half-baked to even know for sure. I can get past the fact there are no tutorials but there is also no settings or help to refer to in an app that could really use both. There are images on screen that are pretty but unfathomable — can't imagine what they are used for. The time is coded to military format (1300hr for example) without any means of changing it. There are terminologies that are unclear of how they should be used. For example, you enter "plans" and it counts how many. I assume this is some alternate term for "tasks" but who knows? There is real estate set aside for some kind of -I'm not sure- blocks or potentially a graph but without an explanation somewhere it isn't clear what it means or what to use it for.
This app may be good one day but so far it's as if it was released by mistake. Shame on Apple's QA team for not catching it and on the developer for even presenting it as a finished product. I'm grateful that it was free!
Can't reorder tasks
Need to be able to reorder tasks, not just list them in the order they were typed in. Would prefer to slide the tasks, but at the least, in the weekly view they should appear in order of the time of day chosen.
C minus or D plus - can't decide
Downloaded it because it was free from AppAdvice. Does nothing that the built-in iOS calendar and reminder apps don't already do, and do better. If you want something that is sleek or pretty and works, keep looking.
