What's New in Version 1.0.1
- Minor bug fixes
The desktop app does not sync with the mobile apps and vice versa
What they don’t tell you is that information you type-in (new tasks, marking them complete, new calendar events etc) on the desktop version of this app do not sync to the iPad or iPhone versions of this app - and vice versa. So if you want your task list to sync via the cloud with all your devices, it’s not going to happen with this set of costly apps. I paid for the desktop and the iPad versions before I realized it. Re-reading the description of this app, they do not claim to be able to do that sort of syncing, but when they can see so many users are falling into the same “expectations trap”, the developers should really explicitly state that the app does not do this. They should also consider refunding money to customers who never would have bought the product if it had been clear the product doesn’t do this or letting users know when we can expect this feature upgrade. Cross device syncing is a reasonable user expectation in what are today considered "best-in-class" apps.
With regard to everything else, this app is fantastic. By creating a very intelligent Franklin-Covey interface and task management prioritization system, this has the potential to be a game changer in this space.
iPad Awesom, Desktop useless
I love love love the iPad app. It's perfect. I don't even mind that there's no companion iPhone app because I use Evernote for notes anyway and I don't track my tasks on it. However, the KEY for having the FABULOUS iPad app with a companion desktop app is the ability to sync EVERYTHING. It only syncs the calendar and that makes having it useless. It is literally no different that having the built-in calendar. Very disappointing for the money. I keep it in the hopes that the developers will provide this key feature so that I can use the app the way it ought to be used. Otherwise, I just use the iPad version for my tasks and notes and I use the iCal on my desktop.
Oh How I wish It Synced With My ipad and iPhone
This app has an opportunity to be a great app! I love the layout and I certainly appreciate the ipad version it easily meets my needs as a world traveler…
However, how much easier my life would be if the laptop or desktop version of this app were to sync with my iPad and iPhone. "Please find a way to make this happen." Thank you for the thoughtful and helpful work you have provided to service humans thus far. Good luck with all the future versions of this app. I am looking forward to amazing revisions.
Thank You for the service you give!
