This app and support stink - save your money

Vflam2

I bought this app today. I followed the directions exactly as posted. Not a single photo I took of ANY plant/flower was identified by the app. NOT ONE. I contacted support, and after much back and forth, finally received an email that basically said, “it was the number one app in the App Store today” and that I should just wait because they’re going to release an update. So, just be quiet cuz it’s a great app - even though it didn’t work AT ALL, not one time. Of course, when this all began, they said if they couldn’t resolve the issue they would refund the $3.99 I paid for it. Guess what? The issue isn’t resolved and NO REFUND. What a surprise! Save your money. The App didn’t work at all and customer support was completely ineffective and didn’t follow through with what they said they would do.

At the end of the email they did thank me for being “part of PlantSnapp!” Yeah. Great.

So much fun!

Downloaded this today before we went for a walk. It’s fall here and most plants are barren of fruits, flowers or leaves. However we were still able to positively identify a bunch of different berry bushes and evergreen species. The app told us about whether they were edible or not, medicinal uses of the plant and specific features for positively identifying them. The experience sparked research and discussion among my family and a confidence in knowing what plants are growing all around us. I would highly recommend this to all of my friends. I like the features it has and look forward to further development and precision of the app.

Loving this App!

I almost didn’t bother because of the bad reviews. So glad I did! This App is great!

I’ve spent all morning going through my tree photos and IDing plants. Whilst the App didn’t know every single tree, it got a lot correct. It’s a work in progress and the more photos that get submitted, the better it should become.

The photos need to be clear and close up. Preferably a flower or fruit. I’ve tried leaves as well. Some it got, some it didn’t, but I’m having a blast with it.

For those of you who paid and are disappointed, try going to your local nursery to take some photos to see what works. It may just be that you are not getting enough of a close up. At least at a nursery the plants have labels so you can see if the App works.

The App is fairly basic right now but I was told there will be updates to see what others around the world are IDing. Can’t wait for that.

Anyway, I’m off to have fun at the garden department at Lowe’s!
