Use PlayStation®Messages to instantly see who's online and message your gamer friends and favorite groups from your mobile device. Always stay connected with your gamer friends to talk about the games you love to play even while you're away from your PS4™ system.
With PlayStation®Messages installed on your mobile device, you can:
- Check your Friends List to instantly see who's online and what they're playing.
- Send text or voice messages as well as photos and stickers to your friends or a group with up to 100 players.
- Quickly access your favorite message groups from your favorites list.
An account to connect to PlayStation™Network is required to use this application's features.
This application uses the Share extension to allow posting of website links and other content to PS Messages.

・You can now respond with a quick reply when you receive a party invitation.
・A mobile icon is now displayed to indicate Friends who use PlayStation App or PlayStation Messages but are not currently online.
・Cover images are now displayed on player detail screens.

Once great, now bugged
Until recently, I loved the app as a fantastic alternative to typing messages on the controller. I would leave the app open while gaming so I could quickly respond to friends and help requests on a whim. However, within the last week the app has stop loading properly. When I post messages on it, it shows my name as though I'm receiving the messages instead of sending them, and all my messages appear in grey. My avatar doesn't load, and all my conversation titles are messed up. My psn id appears in all of the conversation titles, like I'm viewing the conversation instead of a part of the conversation. I hope a fix is in the works.
Bugged Notifications
This app was great about 2 1/2 weeks ago, I could message my favorite groups on the go or even while online. But since 2 1/2 weeks ago I don't get notifications on my phone or PlayStation, when I try to message on the app it constantly says "cannot send message", and the app also shows as if I am viewing the messages and not apart of it and doesn't show avatars. Please fix this and if you could, please put all the apps in one so it is more convenient for me and others. Thank you.
No video messages :(
I love this app, it's a simple accessible way to message friends even when off your console, however I have realized that I cannot send videos. :( It saddens me that I can't share videos with my friends. It would give me great joy if you were to add a feature that allows the sending of video messages. I hope that this review will reach you and inspire you to add such a feature, thank you for your time.
