What's New in Version 3.4.0
- Guide updates to show more content
- Browse in landscape on iPhones (with a screen size of 4.7” and larger)
- Bug Fixes
This app has several issues. One problem is that sometimes the app somehow forgets about all the shows I've added and instead shows the message "You haven't added anything to My Shows". I then have to force quit the app and restart it, and my shows magically reappear. Another issue occurs sometimes during playback: If you quickly press the icons to fast forward or reverse, sometimes the "loading bars" will remain stuck on the screen and won't disappear. To fix that problem, you have to press the timeline bar at the bottom of the screen to jump to another point in your program. The most annoying problem of all seems to have just started when I installed version 3.4 of the app: I have to constantly sign in to the app. This used to be only a periodic annoyance (still annoying, but it didn't happen nearly as often as it does now). Now it seems like I have to sign in to the app at least once a day, and sometimes multiple times a day. Why you ever have to sign in again after having already signed in is a mystery, but having to do it once a day or multiple times a day is really a pain.
This app has never worked with chromecast
I've been using this app for almost 2 years and it has never worked with chromecast. Connection always drops, Stream quality is inconsistent, and the latest problem is the program simply dropping off the TV when it goes to commercial. The ps vue message simply states "thanks for watching." This has gotten worse with the latest release. I don't know where to start with other problems: attempting to pick up at a point on pre-recorded content and cast it results in permanent screen hang. I can't tell you how much time I spend fiddling with my iPad trying to get a program to cast. I'm ready to go back to Fios
Update, November 15, 2017. The app is worse than ever. Now a new problem: when I cast from the iPad to the TV, the video quality is terrible, shaky, out of focus, like rain on the windshield. If I watch the program on the iPad itself via the PlayStation view app, the quality it’s OK. It’s the integration with Chromecast that is just terrific. Definitely considering a return to Fios. Was at my buddy’s house over the weekend, and when I got a look at the fios guide and picture quality, I really missed it.
V3.4.0 still doesn’t resolve issues with the guide
V3.4.0 finally fixes the ability to see more that one channel at a time in the guide, but it still does not let you see a description of a show that is currently playing live.
V3.0.0 makes the guide useless
Can only see one channel at a time in the guide. Can no longer click on a show in tHe guide and see a description, it just starts playing. I used to use this app to be able to read the guide and see descriptions because the guide in the tv is too small and greyed out so you can read it. Now I have idea what is on or coming on. I guess it's time to look for a different service t
