"...it's the ambiance—super slick alien graphics and animations and a fitting soundtrack make it a pretty immersive experience."
"If you enjoy games like Myst, ie. puzzle games, then you will find a lot to like with PLEXXR."
"The level of enjoyment players get out of the experience is contingent on buying into their role as a scientific analyst, or codebreaker as you may. If it can get this one aspect right, and I believe it does, then gamers are in for one hell of an experience."
In 2008, our organization recovered several unusual devices near Groom Lake, Nevada, built using a technology that could not be identified. It is believed that the devices originated from an extraterrestrial source.
The first technology was codenamed Theoria.
Rather than keeping this discovery secret, we have chosen to share it with the world. For this purpose, we developed PLEXXR, a software tool that researchers everywhere can use to study Theoria and learn its secrets.
The PLEXXR program displays 12 code "stages" our engineers discovered in the Theoria device. We ask for your help in unlocking and decoding the mysterious content contained within.
While governments around the globe continue to deny the existence of alien life, we are now able to offer the world proof, through PLEXXR.
We thank you for joining us in this effort.

Slick and thought provoking
Plexxr is a puzzle game with an alien theme to it. There are a set of 12 puzzles to solve. Some of those take a while to figure out, others you know what to do soon enough, but they still take a while to complete.
There is some replay value in that you can go back and try to beat your best time for a level, but I think that it's more likely you'll hand your iPad around the family to see how they get on with it.
Although it only takes a few hours to complete everything, it's very good value at $1.99.
Lots of Fun!
These days you either need to be a 14 year old wiz-kid-gamer or have a degree in game design to be able to understand, not to mention compete in most games. Sadly the simpler ones, are just that-- and they look simple, too.
This one's different. Clearly the backstory, music and interfaces are designed by professionals, and the game puzzles remind me of some of the better MYST ones (does that date me?).
Truly enjoyable for all, both young and old. I played it this evening with my daughter who is in high school. We had a blast! Highly recommended.
This is an excellent game for people who would rather rely on brains (which can get sharper with time) than speed or strength (which tend to fade with time). Engaging, engrossing.
If I had any dissatisfaction, it would arise from the inability to move on to other parts of the game when one puzzle or another became a source of frustration.
Release the game from a linear progression, and that last star could flare to life...
