What's New in Version 3.2
- Fixes & Enhancements
Not sure yet...
Since the new update today, I had to delete then re-install for the app to recognize my log in, but once I was in I liked the new interface, looks less like a child created it, still working my way around it though.
I'd like to make a few suggestions:
1) Create an option for a 4 digit pin to log in, OR having fingerprint identification in lieu of the password. It's extremely daunting to have to type my user name and password over and over again.
2) Allow me to see all my PNC accounts within the app ie: my car note, mortgage, etc. I have multiple accounts and I'd like to stream line and see them all in one app and be able to pay on them if need be as well.
3) Look at the interfaces of apps like USAA, Navy Federal, Bank of America etc. They are all very streamlined with the ability to see all accounts and make payments or transfers within the same app.
I will say though, that once you've logged on, if you don't 'swipe up' and close the app altogether, you can access it still when switching between apps, at least for a quick check into something else...it will however time your session out eventually then you have to re-sign on, hence my first suggestion. It was nice to have that fixed with this update.
This app has been so bad and so broken for so long. I just want to know how/why anyone at PNC has not brought up this app and its failures and decided to wake up the CEO to fix this terribly outdated and just plain broken piece of $#!%. This is suppose to be the most convenient way to access a bank account. WELL, it's the hardest. This app and this bank fail.. They fail at everything. PNC you fail. You really are the worst. I'm leaving you and I will slander your name until I die. Anyone reading this just stop. Rip up your PNC debut card. Take all your money of this sinking ship and run with it. If a bank can't roll out a decent app how can they take care of my money? They can't. That's the short answer. They can't. If you work at PNC and are reading this, print it out and put it in a company email addressed to the CEO. Cc everyone. Hit the emergency button, and have everybody on this STAT. All these other banks (which I'm leaving to) make life EASY. You guys are a mess.
Almost ready to jump ship
This app does retain its core functionality so I can't give it 1 star, but I find it ridiculous that PNC had orphaned this app in the way it has.
Though I'm still dumbfounded by the fact they still haven't updated the UI to support Retina displays and larger screens, the biggest failing BY FAR is that they still haven't bother to implement TouchID. Not only is Touch ID a great time saver, it's FAR more secure than having to type out a password on a mobile device.
ALL my other banking apps support these features and it's making me wonder why I'm bothering to stick with PNC at all.
