PNG Animator is an application which allows you to generate APNG files (Animated Portable Network Graphics)
APNG is like animated GIFs, but supports 24-bit images and 8-bit transparency (not available for GIFs).
- load your sequence of image files (drag and drop support);
- change the order of the frames;
- set the delay between each frame;
- change the frame name;
- set the loop's counter (0 = forever);
- change the duration of the selected frames;
- set the default duration (on loading);
- change the background color;
- check the total duration;
- preview your animation;
- compress the resulting png (zlib, 7zip, zopfli);
- save the file (with .png extension) and display it with browsers that support APNG format (Safari, Firefox, Opera, SeaMonkey);
The file must be saved with .png extension (not .apng).
added Chinese localization

A ”MUST HAVE TOOL”!
For some reason, Apple’s native Xcode 9.0 doesn’t play the animation if I have more than 6 frames of images in an animation sequence.
This app helps me tremedously with making production quality animated stickers for the iMessages, and importing the sequence as a single file into XCode works like a charm!
Thank you to the developer as this makes my life a lot easier!
Really easy way to create an apng. I read a review saying this doesn’t work but it’s because the reviewer doesn’t know how to use apng files. Perhaps the developer should include a pop-up notification which explains to users how to use an animated png and the file formats current limitations. The app saves as a .png but it’s actually an animation file. If you drop into Slack, Safari or Firefox it will animate. Chrome doesn’t animate this for me...anyway it looks like it doesn’t work but it’s because many programs cannot display animated PNG’s. This app works as stated 5 STARS!
Snap Motion+Super Photo Cut+PNG Animator=Awesome!
I really like this app for I prefer to work with PNG photos versus regular photos in stop motion apps to create videos.
First off, this app is nothing unless you are using PNG photos which pretty much are photos of a person, item, characater, etc with nothing in the background. Don’t mean to advertise other apps on here, but Snap Motion is what I use to export frames of videos I want use for photos to export and use in Super Photo Cut. SPC is my go to for importing pics anc cropping characters/items to create my PNG pics to export and use in my digital comics as well as PNG Animator.
Pretty much this app is easy to use and very handy for me because I export my PNG video to use in Motion for further editing. Great job devs!
For those whow are still confused on how to use this app, first get familiar with PNG photos as well as apps that can best work for you to help convert your photos PNG and use in this app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
