Most recent up date helped but still lacking.

Sept 28th, new update seems to have solved problems, thank goodness! Still ticked off about sets, will not be starting that again, I had done every single o e from the beginning until they stopped. Hate that they are all gone:(. I had been able to use it for the last week or so, but agreed with other reviews that it had become annoying in many, many ways. Today I went through selling a pice of scenery in a habitat. That went the way I expected. I then placed a new piece of scenery into same habitat, that seemed to go as I expected as well. BUT NOW DISASTER HAS STRUCK! I cannot place any items from my mailbox to a habitat. I have closed app and reopened, I have powered down the whole phone and powered on again. I have purchased a frog and a background, which went into mailbox OK but then cannot use as mail box seems frozen. I can also not choose a different habitat from my many habitats. That screen also seems frozen as it does it let me move from the habitat where this issue stated. I have played this game for years, level 55 and 78% of frogs collected. I am disgusted and although app was free I have paid for extras, which do not seem to be available now.

Still a few bugs

Malice in Horrorland

I'm so glad the game has been updated and is still playable, but there are a few issues with this update.
The pond is glitchy. Sometimes lilypads spawn very close together or overlapping, which makes the frogs jump awkwardly. When they're too close together, you can't catch any flies between/on them. Also weird is the fact that flies and the fish in the background will suddenly appear on screen instead of spawning off-screen and coming in from the sides. Not a bad thing, just weird to see. Lastly it seems like flies aren't worth the same amount of minutes that they used to be. Originally, the biggest flies were worth 4 minutes. Now it seems like any random fly is 4 minutes and there's no predicting which it'll be. It's kind of annoying.
Also, I miss the frog requests. They were something to work towards and the biggest help for leveling up.

Again, I'm thankful this game is still playable. I'm happy that we can own more habitats as well, but this update needs some ironing.

Classic, still hopping

I took a long break from this after breeding over 70% of the frogs in the game, so when I recently got the urge to go back and finish the job, I was glad to see it’s still available, maintained, and all my frogs were waiting right where I left them.

There are a few issues with the current version, pros and cons.

The great thing is that we can now buy many more habitats. That does speed up the indexing/breeding program in the long run.

Although there are a few classic features missing/retired now (racing, catalog, sets) the only thing I’m really bothered by at all is that breeding takes longer. I still have muscle memory of rapidly breeding batches of 8 frogs, rapid fire. Now there’s a slight delay in the pop up boxes you have to confirm that slows it down oh so slightly but oh so noticeably when you’ve bred as many frogs as I have.

But I can adapt to that.

Only two things on my wish list: auto-flow of frogs from nursery to habitats while breeding (if you’ve bought the egg carrier upgrade) and “sell all” in a habitat. I would pay for those features, and to prove it I bought both stamps and potions today even though I don’t use them and I already have collected thousands of each.

But I know the deal: there has to be enough chance of such new features paying for themselves to put in the effort of making them. Still, I dream.

Anyway, happy to be back to frogging. Happy I CAN return to frogging.
