Overall Great, but one problem...
This is a really fun, entertaining game! It's a great Pokémon parody that's very creative and does some things in this game that I don't like in Pokémon games. For example, in this game the Wild Morty encounters are completely optional and don't force you into them like in Pokémon. Also, most of the time you can see which Morty it is before you interact with it. I also like that you don't lose money when you lose a battle (yes, I know it's not really fair because you get money when you win a battle, but it's nice). My only problem with this game is that sometimes in battles, the opponent's Morty will end up doing two moves before I can send out one. For example, I send out a move, the opponent sends out a move, I pick my next move, then the opponent will send out another move first, and then my Morty sends out his move, if he's still alive. If I got to send out two moves, then the opponent sends out two moves, then I send out two moves, etc. that would be fine, but I pretty much never get to send out two moves in a row. I've lost battles and had Mortys dazed because of this unfair mechanic. I'm not sure if it's an intentional game mechanic or a glitch, but I think it should be I send out 1 move, my opponent sends out 1 move, I send out 1 move, my opponent sends out 1 move, etc. Other than that, this is a great little game. If you like Pokémon, Rick and Morty, or both, I would highly recommend this.
The game was pretty good but...
Unfortunately I had to delete it because it took up a lot of space on my phone. There are also things that made the game hard to play which was trying to level up your Mortys. It was basically level grinding the whole time and it would take hours to get a Morty up to a decent level. The only way to get them to a good level was to combine. Which I didn't like too much. Also the beginning of the game is rough. Buying items was hard since the smeckles in the weren't enough but later on you get a lot from battles. I feel like this game could have had a better balance with difficulty. Other then that I did throughly enjoyed it while it lasted. The references made from the show were well incorporated. And the same jokes were used from the show still made me laugh. Lastly I deeply appreciated the background music in the game. If you decide to get it.... turn up.
Really is an amazing game... but needs multiplayer!!
I've loved this game since release! I played on another device when it was released. I really enjoyed it until I realized I got to a point where I had basically had nothing left to do. That's why I think this game would keep everyone playing if multiplayer was added. Since you can use mega seeds to get a crazy advantages there should be a balancing system where you can only be matched with players that are around your stat total or whatever you would call it. Otherwise this is a great game and I'm addicted all over again. Keep the updates coming!! 👍
