Customer Reviews
MVA (Most Valuable App)
Pocket is the perfect app for people who like to share articles with friends and people who commute on the subway/metro/etc with no cell service. I am both.
I love being able to share articles with my friends without clogging their email inbox (I've recruited a lot of Pocket users). I love that Pocket lets me easily select a section of the story to share with the link. I love that I Pocket automatically puts articles I send without service into an outbox to send for me when I get service.
Being able to read most (a lot of Refinery29 articles don't optimize for Pocket) of the articles I want to read while on my underground commute is invaluable. The ability to tag and archive articles is perfect for someone with bad memory like myself.
My absolute favorite app
As a New Yorker, I'd die without having this to save everything I want to read while I'm on the subway for what often seems like half my day.
Really upset The Atlantic and other publications seem to be dropping the Pocket widget/quick-share button from their articles - hope people stick with this app given its power and simplicity. Why people would want to save anything worth reading to Pinterest instead of Pocket blows my mind.
Get this app, put it on your iPhone homepage & the quick-save button in your web browser, and never look back!
Life-Changing!
Not kidding (re: my review title)- it changed my life! It is absolutely the best app on my phone. Now I am so much more productive by not being immediately sucked in to articles that I come across- I can just save them to pocket and they are there when I am riding the subway and have time to read them! I get my work done, distraction free, and still get to all the material online that interests me. Plus Pocket is smart and recommends articles to me once per week in an email- I usually ending saving at least half of them to read later. Really awesome app, thanks guys for your work!
