Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
The companion app to the Pedia programs on the Mac. Now your movies, books, albums and games are in your pocket wherever you are.
Sync your data from DVDpedia, Bookpedia, CDpedia and Gamepedia on the Mac (version 5.1.7 or higher required), search Doghouse - the Pedias' own database - to expand your Pocketpedia3 database or manually add entries to your collections.
Edit entries, search your database, assign stars and mark entries as borrowed, returned or purchased. Create new collections, move entries or sort them by any field. Take your collections with you and access them anywhere with Pocketpedia3, the universal app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
What's New in Version 3.3.3
Sections now grouped by complete name for select fields such as genre, studio, label, director, author, developer, etc.
Fixed sort ordering in Pocketpedia for numbers.
Fixed ascending/descending sort reversal by selecting the same sort field.
Sort wheel now shows previous sort selection again.
When the sort title field and the option to ignore foreign articles where turned on, Pocketpedia would no longer ignore foreign articles when sorting title and thus not match the Pedia sorting.
Useful app but the search feature is lacking
This is a good app that helps keep track of your music collection. Also, you can search whether you have a particular song in your CD collection; however, the search function is very basic compared to the desktop (Mac) version. Specifically, you can only search by the song title only; in fact, it has to be worded EXACTLY, meaning, you must include ALL words in the song title, and in the correct order. On the desktop (Mac) version, you can search using just keywords, in any order, and most importantly, you can search using a combination of words in the song title AND artist, which comes in handy when, say, you want to know how many times an artist's song appears across your CD collection. Lastly, if you simply want to search how many times an artist (no particular song) appears in your collection the app only displays CD's solely by that artist only, but not any compilations that may have that particular artist on it, whereas, the desktop (Mac) version does this effortlessly. Until the search feature matches the desktop version (if ever) I'll keep the rating at its present state.
Nice to have on the go; still needs a real sync function
A very nice companion application for a beautiful desktop program. Definitely the best library software available. Still needs some sort of cloud syncing (and not the cumbersome one currently available where you have to have the desktop app running to sync). I would love to see iCloud support. Pretty much my only issue with it. Otherwise it's a really nice app.
*for those who can't sync with Mac app, try quitting both apps and restarting. I've had to do that a few times.
