Poems By Heart
This app serves as a great introduction to poetic literature whether your intent is to expand your knowledge or learn to recite passages. The app caters to both as users can search for poems by author or select a poem and choose the learn to recite feature. The interface is conducive to the learning experience with a bright orange background that makes it easy to read off of. The app even labels which poems are easy, medium and hard to learn so you have a better idea of which texts to start with while building your memory skills. A cool feature is the inclusion of a male and female voice to recite the poem to you. This comes in handy for those who can recite better by way of someone else's voice doing the reading. Users also have the option to share poems with others. Users can also enhance their personal library by making purchases from the poetry store. Overall this is a great application to have. Especially for literature lovers.
Great way to memorize poetry
Excellent app for memorizing poetry. You have to pay for poems to memorize and all the poems are available for free elsewhere, which likely upsets a lot of people, but what you're paying for is the platform on which you memorize these works. It's pretty good. The only downside is that it ranks your performance on each section with a certain number of points and it doesn't let you know how many points are possible within each section so you don't know if you're performing as well as you should be to "master the poem". Overall a good app. I hope they add further functionality to it in the future, but as of right now it's still a good app if you like poetry.
They should add a feature to make your own
I absolutely love this app, but it would be even more amazing if there was a way to have a make your own poem feature. In other words, if there's a name or list of things I want to make myself memorize, it would be incredibly useful if I could use text input within this app to make my own document or poem to memorize.
Please add a way for users to make their own poems / documents in this app! Because we all know its hard to memorize stuff when you're by yourself and unless you are prompted. See, I want to memorize more than just poems. Oh also they should put in the constitution. And prose.
