Description
Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. The newest update to Pokémon GO, the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded 650 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch, introduced the addition of over 80 beloved Pokémon among several other new features.
Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered!
Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.
Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger.
Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.
It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await!

Feature Requests
Look forward to trying out this update! As a regular player (L38), here are a few changes I'd love to see (apart from fixing the tracking of course):
-When choosing multiple Pokémon for gym battling, please remember the scrolling position in the list! It's painful to scroll all the way through the list each time.
-Suggestion: limit gyms to one Pokémon of each species. (E.g. If there's already a Snorlax in a gym, you can't put in another one.) This would make gym battling a lot more interesting. #Diversify
-Gyms that haven't switched teams for a long time (>1 week, say) should have an increasing "bounty" for players who take it down. (Say 10 coins/week.) Would prevent gyms stagnating at level 10 for months.
-A "Binoculars" item that temporarily lets you see Pokemon a bit further away (e.g. 60m instead of 40m).
-A "Leash" item to allow walking multiple Pokémon at once. (Say the leash costs 150 coins and 'breaks' after 50km.)
-Tick marks on the CP semicircle to make it easier to know each pokemon's current level.
-Indicators for how Pokemon were acquired. (e.g. wild-caught, hatched, evolved, traded.)
-3-star favoriting system. (E.g. 1 = locked, 2 = keeper, 3 = true favorite).

No fun for casual gamers
Unless you live/work/play in an urban area for long periods of time don't bother. I love and work in the suburbs and unless I'm willing to drive across town on the chance of catching something I only see the same 4-5 boring ones all the time. Also, how successful you are is completely random. There is no element of skill. Just luck. Unanticipated works hard to kill any way to find Pokémon over than their useless radar so good luck finding the ones you need to complete your pokedex. Even if you find them there's no way of predicting if they're any good or not. Not that you can compete in the gyms with all the hardcore players and cheaters anyways. It's fun for a little bit but it gets old fast, unless you can devote a serious amount of time to joining groups to share locations and then travel around town staring at your phone.
not fun anymore
The app crashes too often. And for the casual player or anyone thinking about starting, it's just not worth playing anymore. Only the high level players left, so without a Pokemon with a CP higher than 2800 it's difficult to win a spot in a gym and hold it for any lenght of time. It's a bit tiresome to have to fight thru 4 or 5 Blissey's a couple Snorlax and a few Vaporeons just to win a gym, only to move on to the next and fight the same Pokemon and see that you've already been kicked out of the last one you won. And then you're stuck for a few days because you've burned thru your revives and have to collect more to revive the remaining defeated Pokemon.
