This app is intended to complement a fun game, not to detract from it or its intended rules of play. As such, this app is READ-ONLY with respect to the game, and it will not affect any changes in the game. This is NOT a bot.

ATTENTION: The free API that we've been using has been shut down by Niantic. This means the only way to scan is to use the paid API now. I have no control over this and I get nothing from it because the paid API comes from a third party. So please don't take this out on me, I wish the free API still worked but there's nothing I can do about it now. The app will tell you what you need to know.

Scan for Pokemon in real time and see them on a map, all from your device! Scan up to 2000m radius to find every Pokemon that is hiding nearby.

PokeSensor lets you scan an area for Pokemon, showing you the exact location of each Pokemon. You can either scan your current location, long-press a point on the map to scan from there, or search for a location using the native search feature.

Snorlax was found in my area with this app. Amazing!

• NEW Background scanning with notifications
• Scan for nearby Pokemon from ANY location
• See IVs of all Pokemon on the map
• Customize scan distance and scan speed
• Pinpoint all Pokemon in scan area
• Scan up to 2000m radius
• Search for any location to scan from it, or long-press on the map to move your pin
• Clean, native interface and easy controls

Note that Pokemon Go doesn't give us valid despawn times for Pokemon anymore unless that time is less than 90 seconds. Instead, the Pokemon will count up to 30 minutes and will then disappear from the map. This gives you a rough idea of how long the Pokemon has been there.

WARNING: Extended use of the Background Scanning feature could dramatically reduce battery life. You can always disable Background Scanning if it drains your battery too much, or lengthen the background scanning interval so the app does less work in the background.

What's New in Version 4.2.3

The free API that we've been using has been shut down by Niantic. This means the only way to scan is to use the paid API now. I have no control over this and I get nothing from it because the paid API comes from a third party. So please don't take this out on me, I wish the free API still worked but there's nothing I can do about it now.

The app will guide you to a help page that will explain the paid API. Once you get an API key, just enter it in PokeSensor and it will work. There's a new Paid API Key button on the menu that has an RPM estimator to help you figure out which plan you want.

If you don't want to pay to scan I completely understand that, but 1-starring my app won't do anything to bring it back so please understand that I've done all that I can at this point. For what it's worth, the experience is much better with the paid API because it gets less captcha and is almost unbannable.

Now for the other new features:

-The app remembers despawn timers when it sees them. Once you see the despawn timer for a spawn point, you’ll always have a timer for that spawn point in future scans

-You can now see movesets and height/weight for each Pokemon. Both of those are optional of course via Preferences

-Background scan can now be set to do a spawn scan instead of a full scan. Will save lots of time once you locate most of the spawn points in your area

-Spawn Scan now has a dedicated button on the toolbar (lightning bolt)

-You can import/export all spawns now

-I can now hotfix small changes to the API without requiring an app update

-The Paid API Key has its own dedicated page now in Settings. Includes an RPM Estimator to give you a rough estimate of which API plan you need, based on your scan setup

-I fixed the glitch where the keyboard couldn’t be dismissed after typing into text fields

PokeSensor is Amazing

I used this app prior too and after having to pay for an API Key (sold separately) but it works amazing. Yes you will have to set up a few Pokémon Trainer Club accounts to use this app but it's totally worth the time and effort. I mainly use this to replace the Nearby Feature of the Pokémon GO app which is no longer seen as often because of the sightings of pokemon by pokestops clogging everything up. I'd rather see what's close to me instead of what's 5 blocks away and this app does just that for me.

Best scanner out there!

If you are looking for a working scanner that does everything you expect out of scanning get this. Be warned though due to the new API that Niantic forced on users, you need to pay for a key to use this scanner. You can't really blame the developer of this app for something Niantic keeps taking away from us. This scanner was great when it was free and it is still great after having to pay. This is an honest unpaid review.

Best Pokemon Finder Developer out there!

Very much appreciate the detailed updates! And the ease of use and continued simplicity features. Sad the API is now an additional money-maker for Niantic, but we knew they were getting us hooked for a reason!
(I'm sure they'll let us "go" to foreign continents for the region specific Pokemon for $$ soon...!)
Thanks for the great work!
