Customer Reviews

For competitive athletes

If you call your workouts "training" then this app should be highly considered. My only gripe is that I would like calories burned to transfer to apple health, but at the moment I'm training for a competition and I use polar personal trainer to track everything anyway. I would recommend upgrading the app for the nominal charge - these proprietary features are only available on Polar's higher end watches for hundreds more, and are not offered on any competitor app. Most of the bad reviews come from issues syncing with Apple health or running directly off the Apple Watch, which is unfair since all the data is being analyzed on the phone (not the watch) and synced to polar, which can later be analyzed in much greater detail than Apple health presently offers. As far as I know, no app, other than apple's, can use the Watch heart rate sensors. Further the watch sensors are unacceptably inaccurate during strength training (good for cardio though), and every competitive athlete I know still uses Bluetooth heart rate monitors regardless of whether or not they have the Apple watch. That said, the quick view of this app is very nice on the Apple Watch. Also this app will readily reconnect if signal is lost during training. I had issues with lost signals terminating training with other apps like Moto Fit and map my fitness apps previously.

The sad reality of the human race

First, for the complainers that you can't 'x' with the Apple Watch...please review what you buy and don't make assumptions. If you did, you would have known the watch is for the most part just an interface to the phone, so it needs the phone to do much of anything! There's no GPS on the watch...can you guess what I'm going to say you need to track location on a run???
And why on Earth would it be expected that another company's product will work on their stuff? Why 1 star an app because a POLAR app made for POLAR products doesn't work well with Apple or any other non-confirmed supported device? Here's a helpful lesson to learn: if you don't see anywhere that your device is supported, assume it isn't. It'll save you countless heartache.

Done with the rant. The app is good, does what it says it will do, and yes it does have problems with some people syncing the heart rate monitor. For the crazy person walking outside the range of their Bluetooth signal....there's simply no hope for you. Heck my headphones get all wonky with the iTunes app if I do that. Stop blaming crazy things on the wrong person and figure out...how not to walk away from your phone while working out? Id also like to know what workout you're doing that takes you that far away in the first place this is even an issue....

🎀don't listen to the negative💚

It would be nice if the sleep hours transferred to Apple health. So far this app is just fine I love it!! I'm not having the issues other people are. It syncs flawlessly every single time I initiate it on the watch. People complain about automatic syncing. I do it myself so much I don't think it gets a chance to. I just bought a polar A360 and am using this app in conjunction with the polar flow app. I was scared to buy it because of all the terrible reviews. So far so good. I've only had it a week so if anything bad happens like the USB port that people are complaining about the watch stops any trouble with the app I WILL update. This watch really motivates me to do more physical activity. It doesn't just focus on steps it gives you a percentage of total activity for the day. This is a step up from just thinking about taking steps. When I get an inactivity alert or if the days coming to to a close and I still don't have 100% activity, then I don't just want to get up and walk to walk to reach a step count, I want to do other more strenuous activity.
